First United Methodist Church is committed to discipling ministries that change hearts and minds within the church and in the community.  The church has over 500 members, which includes a large population of children and young adults, and almost as many older adults.  This means that there are both multi-generational and age-oriented activities. The facilities are strikingly beautiful, with a 112-year old sanctuary and a modern annex for meetings and fellowship activities.  First Church is known as The Church with the Warm Heart, and the congregation lives this out.
